The Day After the London Marathon

Cartoon of person lying down - think I don't feel like doing today...moving

The day after the London Marathon – my plan was to write a post-race review. The reality of my day was a little more like this…

Secretary telling the cat her schedule - sleeping, resting, snoozing, a quick nap and then back to sleep for the rest of the day.

With some of this in between naps…

Garfield the cat pointing to an empty mug saying 'show me the coffee!'

And this…

A minion saying 'apparently there are people who eat when they're hungry and stop when they're full' ... the neverending appetite post marathon

And a little of this…

A image of stairs overlaid with 'the 5 letter word that strikes fear into the heart of 'Monday after a marathon' runners everywhere'

And to end the day after the London Marathon, probably this…

A blue fish with clearly a short memory overlaid with the text 'I am never running again....oh look, a race!'

So how did you find running the London Marathon?

Happy recovery all!

Update: I did go out later in the day. Clearly the celebratory mocha and crisps and cider following the marathon worked their magic. I was able to walk downstairs going forward. My legs did feel a little strange as I walked but it wasn’t too bad.
