No, I don’t do that, either. I’ve usually got a few friends around the course or we have people from the running club who take pics and allow us to save and share them.

Thanks Liz. I don’t think I’d pay for it either – it seems to be an option with some of the more commercially driven races. Most of the races I do are pretty small and organised by clubs and local communities. And I know what you mean on the race photos – I sometimes pay for them if there are a few I like or if it’s a really big race like London. Though I do see lots of people on social media using photos with the watermarks (i.e. they haven’t paid for them), which is something I really disagree with and would not do – the photographers need to earn a living as well!
